Welcome to Astro Vedic Kundali ("the App"), a Vedic astrology mobile application operated by Auriferous Technologies LLP ("we", "us", "our", "the Company"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

1.1 Information You Provide to Us

We collect information that you voluntarily provide when using the App:

  • Account Information: When you sign in using Google Sign-In, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from your Google account.
  • Birth Details: Date of birth, time of birth, and place of birth that you enter for Kundali (birth chart) generation.
  • Matchmaking Data: Birth details of prospective partners that you enter for compatibility analysis.
  • Diary Entries: Personal journal entries and notes you create within the Astrology Diary feature.
  • Sadhana Data: Spiritual practice logs, intentions (Sankalp), mantra counts, and remedy tracking.
  • Consultation Messages: Chat messages exchanged during live astrologer consultations (Samvaad).
  • Location Data: City or place information you provide for accurate Kundali calculations and timezone determination.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

When you use the App, certain information is collected automatically:

  • Device Information: Device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information.
  • Usage Data: Pages viewed, features used, time spent on features, and interaction patterns collected via Firebase Analytics.
  • Push Notification Tokens: Device tokens for Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to deliver push notifications.
  • Crash and Performance Data: Anonymous crash reports and performance metrics to improve app stability.

1.3 Information from Third-Party Services

  • Google Sign-In: We receive your basic profile information (name, email, profile photo) when you authenticate using your Google account.
  • In-App Purchase Data: Transaction identifiers and subscription status from Apple App Store and Google Play Store. We do not store your payment card details.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

  • Provide Core Services: Generate Kundali charts, calculate horoscopes, perform matchmaking analysis, display Panchang and Choghadiya data.
  • Personalization: Deliver personalized astrological insights, forecasts, and recommendations based on your birth details.
  • Facilitate Consultations: Enable real-time chat consultations with astrologers through the Samvaad feature.
  • Process Transactions: Manage in-app purchases, subscriptions, and premium feature access.
  • Push Notifications: Send relevant notifications about daily horoscopes, auspicious timings, and service updates.
  • Analytics and Improvement: Understand usage patterns to improve app features, performance, and user experience.
  • Calendar Integration: Add Vedic festivals and fasts to your device calendar (with your explicit permission).
  • Customer Support: Respond to your inquiries and provide technical support.

3. Data Storage and Security

3.1 Local Storage

Much of your personal data — including Kundali details, diary entries, Sadhana logs, and preferences — is stored locally on your device using encrypted local databases (Hive and SQLite). This data does not leave your device unless you explicitly initiate a backup or consultation.

3.2 Cloud Storage

The following data may be stored on our secure cloud servers powered by Google Firebase:

  • Account authentication data (email, name)
  • Consultation chat history (Samvaad)
  • Subscription and purchase status
  • Analytics data (anonymized and aggregated)

3.3 Security Measures

We implement industry-standard security measures including:

  • Secure HTTPS connections for all data transmissions
  • Firebase Authentication with OAuth 2.0 protocols
  • Encrypted local databases on your device
  • Access controls and authentication for server-side data

While we strive to protect your personal information, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

5. Device Permissions

The App may request the following device permissions:

  • Calendar Access: To add Vedic festivals, fasts, and auspicious dates to your device calendar. This is entirely optional and requires your explicit consent.
  • Internet Access: Required for authentication, live consultations, push notifications, and fetching updated astrological data.
  • Push Notifications: To deliver daily horoscope updates and auspicious timing reminders. You can disable these in your device settings at any time.

6. Data Retention

Local Data: Data stored locally on your device is retained until you delete the App, clear app data, or use the in-app account deletion feature.

Cloud Data: We retain your account and cloud-stored data for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, your data will be permanently removed from our servers within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

Analytics Data: Anonymized and aggregated analytics data may be retained indefinitely for statistical purposes.

7. Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction: Update or correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Deletion: Delete your account and associated data using the in-app account deletion feature, or by contacting us at support@auriferous.in.
  • Opt-Out of Notifications: Disable push notifications through your device settings.
  • Data Portability: Request your data in a portable format by contacting us.
  • Withdraw Consent: You may withdraw consent for optional data collection (e.g., calendar access) at any time through your device settings.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is intended for users aged 13 years and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If we discover that we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete such information promptly. 9. International Data Transfers

Your information may be processed and stored on servers located outside your country of residence, including servers operated by Google (Firebase) in various global locations. By using the App, you consent to the transfer of your information to these locations. We ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your data in compliance with applicable data protection laws.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. We will notify you of any material changes by:
